Hemi in the MOPAR world, the Ford Cammer, and of course, the Chevrolet SS 396. In 1967, this was one of the highest performance trim levels you could order from the factory for a Chevrolet passenger car and remains quite sought after to this day.This 1967 Chevelle SS 396 is a true SS with a real 138-VIN number, and the block is numbers matching as well. Finished in a stunning shade of Tahoe Turquoise with a black vinyl roof, this is a great driver plus quality car, with records to show its pedigree. The 1967 Chevelle features a sleek, long flat design, but with beautiful chrome work on the bumpers, window trims and side mouldings, it is one of the most classically beautiful shapes that Chevrolet ever came up with for a mid-size coupe in the company's history. This car is in very good condition throughout and sits on a set of 15-inch chrome American Racing wheels with white letter BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires.The Interior is classic 1960s GM and features a pair of bucket seats up front with a console between them, and a bench seat in the rear. Slide into the driver's seat and you are met by a Corvette-style 3-spoke steering wheel with a brushed aluminum center and black rim, and the dashboard is finished in brushed silver as well. In the center console sits a T-handle shifter and a very sporty looking clock, angled back towards the front seat passengers. This example has been upgraded with a Vintage Air A/C system and modern audio.Sitting under the hood is that famous 396 ci V8 from Chevrolet with numbers matching stampings on the block. Rated from the factory at 325 horsepower, this engine breathes through a dual exhaust system and sends power to the 12-bolt rear end via a TH400 automatic gearbox. The rear suspension has been upgraded with a 4-link setup that improves handling and ride comfort, and a rear sway bar goes to further tighten up the car's handling.This SS396 is one of the more desirable variants of the 1967 Chevelle and this example features a Protect-o-Plate which shows that not only is the engine numbers matching, but the colors and options are correct too.
