"1964 Mercury Comet Caliente Hardtop
This 1964 Mercury Comet had a body-off refurbishment that included a color change to red, an interior re-trim, and installation of a 5.0L Windsor V8 and a four-speed automatic transmission. Under the hood is a 5.0L Windsor V8 that sends power to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission installed as part of the build. The engine features electronic fuel injection and an MSD distributor.
The grille wears a V8 insignia, while Caliente badging adorns the fenders. Further details include quad headlamps, a single driver-side mirror, and dual polished exhaust outlets. The 14? Cragar S/S wheels are wrapped in 205/70 Hankook Kinergy ST tires. Front disc and rear drum brakes provide the stopping power
The front and rear bench seats are upholstered in gray cloth and black vinyl, which extends to the door and side panels. We are also strong in the racing heritage and names such as Lingenfelter and Ray Barton, Richard Petty and Bobby Allison are legends and at LRA we’ll make sure those legends will never die.
