Real Red Super Sport, born a 327 with a 4-speed! #s matching motor, documented by GM of Canada. Beautiful ground up restoration.
EXTERIOR: The body is completely restored. It's straight, there's no rust, bubbles, dents or issues. The body panels line up square and flush, the doors will literally close by themselves. The door latches are new. Repainted in its original Ember Red color. The entire car has a smooth glossy finish including the jambs. The weatherstrips were replaced. Glass is original. The chrome and stainless trim is all straight, shiny, and fits right. The SS uses the machine turned trim that looks cool. It also has dual bowtie mirrors and cross flag emblems that designates a 327 is under the hood. A mint set of SS hubcaps are at the center of Firestone radial tires.
INTERIOR: You will like what you see in front of you. It has an optional 2 spoke deluxe wheel and behind that is the factory tachometer. The dash is in excellent shape and has an optional padded top and the SS machine turned trim looks great. The machine turned trim looks good on the center console too along with the correct chrome shifter. The door panels look new including armrests and handles. The seats were reupholstered. New carpet on the floor with reproduction mats. New headliner with the embossed stars. There is a retro stereo in the factory hole. All interior lights work including in the glove box.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has its original # matching 327 motor that runs smooth. It is complete with correct 4 barrel carb, air cleaner, valve covers and manifolds. It even has correct decals and the choke tube is in place. All the components look fresh including power steering and brakes. Upgraded dual reservoir master cylinder. The wiper motor looks new, washers are hooked up and it even has the glass bottle with concentrate fluid. It is detailed, all the metal surfaces are painted neatly.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid, jamb and inside is all clean metal painted gloss red! New weatherstrip, trunk mats and decals. It even includes the jack and spare.
UNDERSIDE: The front-end steering and suspension was completely rebuilt. In back the springs and shocks look new. The brake system was rebuilt and upgraded with disc in front. The e-brake is hooked up. The stainless exhaust neatly follows the x- frame and has polished Magnaflow mufflers. Looking up at the motor it is fresh Chevy Orange with a new starter. The Muncie 4-speed has correct casting code. The driveshaft was rebuilt, and the rear end was opened up and serviced.
SERVICE: We inspected the car and replaced the accelerator pump, adjusted the timing, cleaned the carburetor, replaced the master cylinder and fixed exhaust rattles.
This is a sweetheart! The seller had remorse after letting it go. It has fantastic fit, finish and function throughout. The new owner won't have any remorse for buying it!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.
