I am selling my Woodie Wagon. It is a very cool ride and turns many heads. It is not a trailer queen and with all collector vehicles, they simply are never done. If this was, this would be a $50 - $60k car. But it is not. I have enjoyed it, but time to do something different.
You have to ask yourself, how often do you see a Woodie, and one that is fun to drive.
Corinthian White with airbrushed Woodie sides.
Sides are real wood, just airbrushed.
Here are the details on the this cool ride.
89,300 original miles
New, fresh 406 cu in FE engine, less than 1000 miles on it. Was completed July 2, 2021.
Engine has a 390 crank, mild cam, one step above stock.
Ford Galaxie Police Interceptor Aluminum Intake
Holly 4 bbl 750 carburetor
HEI, new distributor, new wires, plugs
Engine painted Ford Blue
New Chrome Valve Covers
New Chrome Air Cleaner
New Crites single fit headers
New 2in dual exhaust. It does make the car ride closer to the ground. But some spring expanders should fix that.
New Optima Dry Cell battery
New aluminum radiator
New Dual Electric fans
Power steering
No power brakes. It does stop ok. Just need some muscle.
New Wooden steering wheel, horn and hub not installed, comes with the car
New rubber for all four door windows not installed, comes with the car.
New window visors not installed, comes with the car
Newer Rikken 255/50R17 tires. Maybe 1500 miles on them.
New Dakota Digital analog and digital gauges, all connected except the gas gauge. We think the fuel sending unit is bad.
New Crites Teardrop fiberglass hood comes with the car. Needs to be fitted on the car. Original hood comes with the car.
It is automatic 3 spd on the column, Cruise-O-Matic. Transmission, shifts fine in all forward gears. Occasionally, kicks a bit in reverse.
Tranny was gone through when engine was being built, no major issues were found.
All doors open and close nicely.
All inside and outside door handles operate correctly
All windows roll up and down nicely Crank. No power
All wing windows open and close. The passenger one is a little tender. Needs rubber.
Back rear window is power, goes up and down nicely
Front windshield is good. No cracks.
Rear windows are excellent, no cracks
Car has factory air, but it is disconnected. The compressor is bad.
I always had the windows down.
Heat works, though I never drive it in cold weather.
Original front and back bench seats. A couple little imperfections. It is cloth.
Back seat will fold down to have more space in the back.
Headlights and tail lights all work.
Turn signals all work, the turn signal switch is bad on one side. Have to manually click it back.
Tailgate opens and closes like it should.
Radio is AM. Does not work.
Rear section of the wagon, the headliner is gone. The headliner is present from driver to backseat.
Dome light works at front, missing the light cover.
Manual air vents work and air flows nicely through the car.
Wipers work.
The fuel filler neck we think is wrong, it fills the tank, just needs to pumped slower.
Body is very good shape. A couple stress cracks in the wood sides, not noticeable unless you hunt for them.
A couple of very small areas where the paint is missing, they were there when I bought the car.
Car door locks work, but could use attention.
One key.
Only drivers side mirror. No factory passenger side.
Mechanically it is a nice driving car. Not a hot rod, but a nice cruiser with a healthy power plant and a nice sound.
If you have any other questions, please reach out.
Always stored indoors and insured by Hagerty.
Seen rain once since I bought it.
Thanks
