MAJOR TECHNICAL INFORMATION;
Just a week or two ago, I was driving the car home from one of my vendors on a beautiful afternoon with light traffic on a 6 lane freeway. I must have become hypnotized by the mellow exhaust note at full song bouncing off the median cement barriers. I happened to look down at the speedo and it was pegged at > 110 mph with apparently lots more to go. . At speeds over 115 mph, there was not a ripple in the steering or suspension, engine or tires or anywhere in the car. The Convertible top was down and it was just as smooth as one of my Lola race cars. An amazing street machine. Most restorers make outrageous HP claims but do not offer the original dynamometer (dyno) verification as we do by posting original Wheeler Dyno Service graphs and tables of torque and power (Horse Power) as we do. Look in our photo carrousel for verification of Wheeler Dyno Service print out of torque and Horse Power and original photos of the dyno testing process. The new Thunderbird engine was tested at 5500 RPM where torque and power join. Lots of fun doing the tests.
As New, Finest Available. Old age (88) and a long list of debilitating infirmities forces a reluctant sale.
