1936 Ford Humpback Sedan The Model 48 was introduced in 1935 and continued to receive an annual cosmetic refreshing until being completely redesigned again in 1941. The practicality and look of these cars launched the company ahead of Chevrolet in regards to sales with 820,000 being sold in their introductory year. This clean 1936 Ford is the humpback sedan body style and has a great look. Over $80K has been invested into its restoration and it is in excellent condition throughout. It is painted in a nice dark Washington Blue paint and the steel body is all rust free. The body lines are then accented with Red pinstriping and it has more custom designs on both headlights. The glass is all in great condition with zero damage and is slightly tinted. It wears its original style chrome bumpers and the V8 hood trim. The car has a great stance and rides on a set of Red steel wheels with Blue and chrome dog dish hubcaps, Coker Classic tires and a rear mounted spare. Street rods have their place but it is very cool to see a car like this '36 that wasn't all cut up and was restored to original. Under the 4 piece steel hood is a Flathead V8 motor that runs great. It is fitted with 2 2 barrel carburetors and nice chrome air cleaners. It has a very stock original look. It starts up smoothly and runs strong. Paired with the motor is a 3 speed manual transmission that shifts smoothly. The brakes and suspension are all the stock set up and are all in working order. The interior of the car was done in a nice two tone Brown and White upholstery that looks great. It has bucket seats up front and a bench in rear. The dash is nicely painted and topped off with aftermarket Classic Instruments gauges. It has an underdash AC system which is a nice upgrade and it blows cold. In front of the driver sits the very cool Banjo steering wheel with Deluxe horn button. Up above it has a custom overhead console which houses the Pioneer AM/FM/CD player. In the trunk there is plenty of storage space and where you will find the relocated Red top Optima battery. This is one cool classic that runs out great. It needs nothing except for a new garage to call home. The car comes with a clean title as well as some vintage brochures. This beauty could be yours for $49,500.00!
