1959 Edsel Ranger 2 Door Hardtop – Equipped with the 292 cu. in. Y-Block V-8 engine in Excellent Condition. Oil pressure 55-60 lbs. Mile-O-Matic transmission shifts smoothly. Power Steering works well with no leaks. Vacuum wipers were replaced with optional electric motor. The exhaust system was completely replaced 3 years ago. No oil or coolant leaks. Newer Petronix electronic ignition for easy starts, newer brakes. Mechanically very good.<\/p>\n

Painted in the original “Petal Yellow” in 2016. Ford calls this color Tuscon Yellow. The interior was changed over to black. New door panels and rear panels from SMS three years ago. The original radio is in place but its inside electronics have been upgraded to new AM\/FM- aux input system with a new dash speaker as well. Very nice sound. New safety belts front and rear. The seats do not have correct upholstery but professionally redone with new seat foam throughout. The carpeting was also replaced with original type “Edsel” logo. Clear floor mats to protect the new carpet. New headliner. New dash pad installed to give updated look but can be removed to show the original beauty. Photos show dash with and without dash mat.<\/p>\n

The floor pans are very good condition with no rust. The trunk is excellent as well. Original Jack in trunk. The doors close nicely with no sagging. Some chips on the door edge. All headlights, tail lights and turn signals work as they should. She rolls on 8.00 x 14 B.F. Goodrich tubeless wide whitewalls. Chrome is very good tho front bumper has a slight pitting area below headlamp. Only other negative aspect is lower rear corner of doors show some paint cracking (about 2″ round) as noted in photos & crack in drivers door window (been that way for years). Included is quart of original paint and hardener when painted.<\/p>\n
