How many Ford F36 trucks were built, you may be asking? The general consensus amongst the Ford Truck Enthusiasts is only around 13,000 and that spanned all cab styles. Despite our best efforts to locate more info, there is no actual information out there that states how many single cab F36’s were made or how many of those were F36 Trailer Special trucks. This could be one of very few ever made, or even 1 of 1 when you break down all of the options.<\/p>\n

All that aside, this truck is turn key ready to enjoy as a truck if so desired. It does have collectibility and is desired among the Ford truck guys, but that’s not to say trips to Home Depot or the Hardware Store still can’t be enjoyed in it.<\/p>\n

The previous owner had the 400M engine rebuilt and said that he had it dyno’d. It reportedly is now pushing around 380 HP. The truck shifts well and 4 wheel drive operates as it should. Overall, a fun to drive truck.<\/p>\n

Body wise, the truck has a great look in passing or at the curb. No denying the appeal! However, it does have rust issues as most of these trucks do in the bed. Most notably around the wheel wells and down low behind the rear tires on both sides. There is a few blisters at the cab corner on the passenger side and some issues in the door jambs, near the rear of the jamb down low.<\/p>\n

The drip rails are in great shape and the cab mounts look sturdy. Floors look pretty solid, albeit a little crusty in some places. Overall, the bones of the truck are in great shape.
