Freshly and fully restored 1970 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible. With a rust-free frame and straight body, this car needed very little to reach a top-level restoration. Painted by the experts at the Hot Rod Shop in Corinth, Mississippi, the 442 was painstakingly resprayed using the original code-58 Burnished Gold metallic basecoat with durable layers of clearcoat giving it vibrant depth and extra shine.<\/p>\n

Already in terrific shape, the 455 Oldsmobile engine remains stock under the hood, but a few upgrades using factory components give it a little extra pep. An aluminum W30-style intake was matched with a Quadrajet carburetor to help the big-block breathe more air than stock. Power fed through the original transmission makes its way to an updated 12-bolt Positraction rearend. The stance is perfected with staggered 17- and 18-inch wheels and a set of Viking Springs with Fox Shocks absorbing the bumps. The ride is comfortable and sporty, giving it the best of both worlds. This beauty also comes with the factory correct Super Stock 1 wheels and raised letter tires.<\/p>\n

The aesthetics of this 442 are virtually flawless. All of the chrome trim, emblems, and bumpers are in like-new or better condition. The convertible top works as it should as do all of the windows. The hood, doors, and trunk all open and close solidly as any fresh restore should.<\/p>\n

Stepping inside, you are treated to new bucket seats and freshly installed carpet. All of the gauges work as expected with the added rally pack keeping you informed of the vitals. The wood steering wheel and shifter greet you with a real feel not found in cars today. When the top goes up, the air-conditioning will keep you good and cold, while a hidden sound system pumps out the tunes clearly, even with the top down.<\/p>\n

With a brand-new restoration, all this 442 needs is a new owner to get in and drive. It is ready for the road!<\/p>\n
