Conversion vans have been around since the 1960’s if you consider the Volkswagen Bus in its camping style configuration. It wouldn’t be until about the 1980’s before other major manufacturers got into the game, with most using aftermarket coach builders to better adapt traditional full-size vans with more interior creature comforts, sleeping quarters, captain’s chairs, more headroom, etc. These high-end offerings made road travel much more appealing for large families, vacationers, and those who enjoy camping lifestyles. The design possibilities for conversion vans were endless, and today represent a unique part of automotive history!
1994 Ford E150 Conversion Van built by A&J Vans Inc. based out of Valders, WI. This is considered their Designer Series with the Preferred Option Group package. It is finished in a very appealing 4-tone paint configuration of Emerald Green Metallic, Medium Brown Metallic, along with Light & Dark Antelope Metallic accents. Power is provided by a 5.0L EFI V8 and 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission to produce 150 horsepower and 260 lb. ft. of torque with a 3.31:1 rear axle ratio. Options include front & rear air conditioning systems, power 8-way driver’s seat, power windows/locks/mirrors, cruise control, tilt steering column, passenger vanity mirror, overhead indirect lighting, courtesy lights, map light, center console with storage and cup holders, black walnut trim on the dash/doors/console and rear cabinetry, fully insulated interior, Flexsteel-branded captain’s chairs, rearward couch/folding bed, rear privacy glass with color-coded soft curtain privacy shades, carpeted floor mats, rear storage compartments, clothing hanger rack, 15″ alloy wheels, molded running boards, and more!
This exceptionally well-kept Ford has had just two careful owners from new, with the original taking delivery from Neehah-Menasha Ford in December 1993. He would retain ownership in his climate-controlled garage until October 2018 before its only other owner would take possession with 41,400 miles on the odometer. This special van was upgraded at that time to a modern, flip-down 15″ LED overhead TV monitor with HDMI/USB/SD/Aux/RCA capabilities along with 4 wireless headphones. Additionally, the factory radio in the forward dash was changed for a Kenwood AM/FM/CD head unit, and the rearview mirror enhanced to a display monitor that utilizes a rear facing camera. All excellent additions to modernize the usability!
This second owner would use the van for excursions in the summer with his grandchildren over the next 6 years. Today, the odometer only reads 73,927 miles and it continues to perform just wonderfully. The overhead console at the driver’s position operates the various interior lighting systems, and all power accessories remain fully operational. The Preferred Option Group from A&J Vans added two rearward cargo storage cabinets, a floor drip tray with carpet insert & tie-down netting, and an interior overhead storage bin housing a Black & Decker vacuum accessory for easy cleaning. Additionally, the rear passengers can enjoy a beverage ice chest with a 6-can capacity for keeping refreshments handy while on the road! Included with the sale of this wonderful 1994 Ford E150 conversion van will be the original Ford owner’s manuals/books, window sticker, A&J Vans information binder, spare tire tools and bottle jack, 2 keys, and clean CarFax report.

How many passengers?
appears to be 9
7 passengers actually. Legally. I saw the Guinness World record for the Beetle holding 57 humans inside the hood, interior, and engine bay. So, very likely this van could strategically double that! 😉
