from the seller:
I just wanted to reach out again to you and let you know that I was able to make contact today with the previous owner, he confirmed to me that the car has been fully serviced, right down to a new exhaust which is visible, the exhaust part from the manifold to the muffler is factory stainless and is in excellent condition, from there back has been replaced,
the air conditioner blows cool air but not ice cold, so, it probably needs to be recharged. I took the car out today for a spin and it operates like a brand new car. I had the battery changed out today as well, so, who ever buys this car will only have to put gas in it and take good care of it. It is without a doubt the absolute best there is in the world so far as I’m concern. I have some pretty nice classics and this is the best that I ever owned. Hopefully this helps with your questions..
This car, having sat since model year 1989, there has to be many things that are going to need work, i.e. brakes, A/C, tires need replacing among other things . With all of that and much more, what can this car be worth?
Hi There,
The opposite is true to my knowledge, I was concerned about the same issues, It’s my understanding that this car has been completely serviced before I purchased it, all fluids has been changed out, it sits on new Michelin tires, brakes are awesome, I didn’t pull the wheels to check the brakes, but the car drives and functions as a new car. The new owner won’t be disappointed with this car.
Please tell us the story behind this car. Any of them with literally no miles after this long has to have a story. What does not work as these low mile cars that sat for possibly years usually need everything serviced to be ready for safe, reliable driving to and from local shows and for fun. Thank you
from the seller:
The story behind this car is, it was ordered new by a small used car dealership in Nashville TN, the owner stored this car in his climate controlled storage along with a couple of other new cars that he had. He would drive it on occasion to keep it up to snuff. He didn’t just store the car and do nothing with it until it was sold, he would keep all the fluids changed and drive it occasionally as mentioned. The tires have been change out and it sits on four new Michelin tires. All the fluids are new, everything on this car works as it did when it came from the factory. In my estimation whoever buys this car don’t have to do anything to make it road worthy. You are more than welcome to fly in and take a look at the car or send in a inspector.
I did not have my mechanic pull the wheels to check the brakes, but the brakes operate flawlessly and the car is awesome to drive. The original spare has never been down and is in the trunk. This is the story behind this car and to the best of my knowledge it is as I have been told.
I thought I answered your inquiry earlier today but I think I didn’t send it when I thought I did. I’m not use to this auction website . As for how much this car is worth, I’m not sure if I’m allow to discuss this topic while the auction is still active, I will call them in the morning and check, I don’t mind discussing the value of this car, but the auction has rules and I need to check, in the meantime, I will say that this car is a great quality investment that will grow over time.
