This rare RX-7 is 2 owner with 104,100 miles. It is number 5 out of 10 RX’s taken from the factory to Thames Enterprises in California for the conversion of the Cabriolet package. (See image of interior emblem above glove box).
This is 1st Gen RX-7 powered by a 12A two-rotor Wankel producing around 100hp. It has 2 regular factory bucket seats and a small unique bonus back seat.
The 2 piece Cabriolet conversion allows the hard top (1st piece) to be taken off and slid into the trunk for storage. The roll bar (2nd piece) can be left up or put down for the whole convertible experience. She also has a leather parade/boot cover to finish up the look.
This pkg also has added the low-profile front spoiler with working fog lights.
She runs very well for a 42 yo auto. She has been garage kept since 1990.
The A/C has a seal leak. It will blow cold air until refrigerator runs out. Interior is in good shape, however there is 1 air flow vent piece that’s loose and needs replaced.
There’s also a small dent on driver side rear, above the tail light. Paint also has small imperfections. See image with area circled.
Recently, body work was done to do re-blacking of trim, repaint spoiler and fix a few rust spot and add 2 new emblems.
