I purchased this car in 2023 when it had 70,000 miles on it. Right away, I replaced the old air conditioning pump and upgraded it with new refrigerant. I then drove 10,300 miles, zigzagging across the country from Washington State to Baltimore, without any issues, while visiting clients over two months. After that trip, I stored the car in dry storage in Baltimore for 8 months.
In June 2024, I retrieved the car, replaced the original battery, installed a new starter motor, and replaced the wiper blades on the recommendation of a serviceman. I then drove from Baltimore to Alamogordo, New Mexico, once again with absolutely no problems, through June and July. The car is currently stored in a temperature-controlled, secure 12×20 dry storage unit, under its own car cover. The registration expires in August, and it is currently insured for storage only. I am currently overseas, but my business partner in New Mexico has access to the storage unit, holds the signed title, and acts on my behalf.
Owning and driving this rare classic has been a delight. Not many modern cars could handle crossing the USA twice without a hitch. The paintwork is in good condition, especially for a 40-year-old car, with just a few stone chips. It appears accident-free, rust-free, and has excellent tires. I believe the mileage to be accurate, and the car is much admired—it runs and drives beautifully.

Speed. This engine is as shown in a photograph in photos supplied. This is a conventional Cadillac of the time period “for and aft engine”. A conventional V8 engine North Star was a later engine in a compact Cadillac (Different vintage ) and I think it mounted east west across the engine bay. This is the original engine with 85k. “FlyingKiwi”
