The 1974 Triumph TR6 is a classic British sports car that embodies the essence of the era. Known for its sleek design, powerful performance, and open-top motoring experience, the TR6 is a favorite among vintage car enthusiasts.
This TR6 has gone through an extensive restoration over the past 7 years. Starting with the exterior of the car, the paintwork was completed prior to 2016. Finished in a beautiful French Blue over a new blue interior. New Red Line tires, New Exhaust along with new front suspension.
The engine was rebuilt by Ric Cline. This rebuild included a triple SU carb set up, ported and polished heads, increased compression, GP2 Cam, Cam Bearings, roller rockers, aluminum water pump, new high output alternator, distributor by Advanced Distributors, Jeff Schlemer Aluminum Radiator, electric fan, all new engine hoses, piping and detailing, and new heavy duty motor mounts.
Complete new wiring harness, lights, bulbs, switches, etc. Brand new wood dash as well. To enhance the driving experience a HVDA Toyota 5 Speed transmission conversion was completed. Completely rebuilt rear suspension, differential, drive shaft, rear axle conversion to Goodwood CV joint axles , New Goodwood sway bars front and rear. The fuel tank was restored and relined by Syms Radiators.
Most recently the original frame was removed and a NEW Artco frame was installed. Restored all suspension components that were not replaced. New Willwood front brake calipers with drilled and crossed rotors along with new servos were installed. A new stainless sports exhaust system was also installed. There may be some small details missing, but this car was mechanical and cosmetically restored to be driven! It will not disappoint!
