Low-miles, numbers-matching 1974 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. At almost 50 years old, this beautiful Corvette has only 31,184 actual miles on the odometer. It comes to us wearing a good driver-quality repaint of it’s original color – Dark Red Metallic. There are a couple of small scuffs on the “”nose-cone”” of the car, but they’re minor demerits for such a nice ride. It’s hard not to fall in love with the gorgeous curves and styling of the C3 generation!

The front of the car features working pop-up headlights, a split front grill with turn signals integrated behind, and a bright “”Cross-Flags””Emblem. As you move around to the side, the curves and contours of the body are on full display. A “”Stingray”” emblem graces the front fenders above the air vents and bright trim lines the windows and t-tops. The driver’s side mirror picks up the chrome theme as do the chrome rocker covers on both sides. Adding to the look are 76-79 aluminum 8-slot Corvette wheels with cross-flag centercaps wrapped in Firestone Firehawk SS white letter tires. Around back you’ll find 2 tail lights on each side with inner and outer trim rings and bright “”CORVETTE”” lettering in the center. Under the rear you’ll see a full-size spare tire and dual exhaust exiting to the back.

Open the hood to find a completely stock engine bay in clean condition. At the center is a numbers-matching 195hp L48 350ci V-8 wearing orange valve covers and topped with a 4-barrel carburetor. The V-8 is mated to a numbers-matching Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. Other items of note under the hood include a working A/C compressor (R12), original smog equipment (belt no longer in place), power steering, a brake booster with dual resevoir, cast manifolds, air cleaner with rubber surround, and chrome ignition shielding. Braking power comes from front discs and rear drums. When you open the drivers door the working courtesy lights illuminate a very nice Saddle interior – just as it was originally made. Both of the Saddle leather bucket seats are in very good condition with only very light signs of wear.

The door panels are both in good condition and they feature woodgrain inserts. Between the seats is a center console that houses the parking brake, power window controls, climate controls, and the original metal shifter with reverse lock-out. The climate controls work great and pump out cold A/C and hot heat. In the area above where the console meets the dash is the original working factory AM/FM push-button radio topped by a gauge cluster with a working clock and gauges for fuel, oil, battery, and temp. Hideaway wipers are controlled by a switch at the top center of the gauges. In front of the passenger is a dash storage pocket that contains the original owners manual and other booklets that came with the car when new.

The upper dash is crack-free and in very good condition. The driver is treated to a thin 3-spoke steering wheel with tilt and telescopic functions as well as a cross-flags emblem on the horn button. Ahead of the driver on the dash is a 160 mph speedometer, 7K tachometer, and a switch for the headlights. Tan carpet in good condition covers the floors and carpeted Corvette floormats keep the high traffic areas looking good. In the carpeted cargo area behind the seats are 3 storage compartments (1 of which houses the battery), a hold-down strap for t-top storage, and a courtesy light to see the area at night.
