Fresh in our showroom is this beautiful white Studebaker Avanti. We acquired this out of Massachusetts from a husband and wife who were the 2nd owners of the car. The plan was for them to restore and enjoy the car but due to health concerns the restoration was never fully finished. They put a ton of new parts into the car just recently which included a new aluminum gas tank, new brakes on all 4 corners, new water pump, new ignition cables, and new electronic distributor. A new transmission was also put into the car as part of the restoration as well as a new torque converter.
Powering this coupe is Studebakers 289ci V8 mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. The front brakes have been converted to disc as well as a new master cylinder. We have loads of documents and receipts that show what was replaced or repaired during their ownership as well as the original build sheet! We found that the first owners marked their names into the cup holder seals as well as in the glove box and they seem to match the names on the original build sheet which is a cool piece of history.
Only built for 2 years, 1963 was the last year of production for the Avanti. A total of about 6,000 Avanti’s were made, significantly less than president of Studebaker Sherwood Egbert expected. When was it painted and are the bumpers free of rust?

Where is this car coming from? It appears to have slight rust in many areas in the pictures. Do you know if the milage is 119K or 19K?

19k miles according to previous owner, was a 2 owner vehicle. Last owner spent 10 years going through car. He had then passed and wife kept for around 3 years and sold it.
Car was purchased out of Massachusetts unsure of origin prior trying to get that information for you now.

Description makes it sound as if car needs nothing.
I am a serious buyer but need clarification please.
