Redesigned with modern styling and engineering advancements, the 1940 Chevrolet lineup outsold its Ford rivals and even made racing history when a Chevrolet business coupe, driven by future Grand Prix champion Juan Manuel Fangio, won Argentina’s 6,000-mile Gran Premio Internacional del Norte.
This 1940 Chevrolet Street Rod retains its classic styling with an unmodified OEM body, enhanced by a striking Tangerine and Blue-accented custom flame design over a clean White paint finish. Power comes from a small-block Chevrolet V-8 featuring a polished aluminum intake manifold, Demon carburetor, serpentine-belt accessory drive, and headers feeding a full dual exhaust system. Additional upgrades include MSD 6A electronic ignition, 12-volt electrics, an aluminum radiator, electric cooling fan, and a transmission cooler. A Lokar-shifted GM 3-speed automatic transmission delivers power to a GM 10-bolt rear end.
For improved handling and drivability, this Chevy features a Mustang II-style independent front suspension with an anti-sway bar, precise rack-and-pinion steering, and power front disc brakes with a dual-circuit master cylinder and vacuum booster. The OEM chassis frame provides a solid foundation for this well-balanced street rod.
Inside, the inviting cabin features late-model bucket seats upholstered in Burgundy cloth and vinyl, a custom center console, and Burgundy carpeting. Modern comforts include R134a air conditioning and a Kenwood AM/FM CD stereo. A leather-wrapped Le Carra 4-spoke steering wheel, Beige custom headliner, full Stewart-Warner instrumentation, and a Quartz clock add to the car’s refined look. The trunk features a Chevrolet bowtie design and includes a battery charger for convenience.
Sitting on Billet Specialties 5-spoke wheels wrapped in low-profile radial tires, this custom Chevy boasts an aggressive stance and is ready to hit the road. A true blend of vintage style and modern performance, this 1940 Chevrolet Street Rod is built for cruising and turning heads.

62819 miles on a street rod and aftermarket speedo. What is the real mileage?
We don’t know if this is actual or not. When we took the car in, we took it as miles since the restoration. It is set up to drive, so that was our assumption!
Some pictures of the engine would be appreciated.
Hello, we are going to add some. We will add to our site shortly and ask ACC to add them as well.
What does the title look like? A friend of mine just bought a car out of Canada and is having problems getting it titled in Nevada. Lein release?
Hi and thanks for asking. The Ontario “ownership” you can Google and there are examples. If the car is properly imported to the USA, there will be no issues. We provide this and import the vehicle in Michigan and that is included, and we have never had any issues. There are no liens on this car. All of that is cleared and vetted by the US Border Crossing authorities.
Is the car all steel? Can we see video and hear it running? Thanks.
Hello and thanks for your interest! Yes, the car is all steel, except the running boards.
